2 Overview Tab

Introduction

If you are using a Facebook page (so not your personal account), and if already sufficient likes and posts have happened, Facebook insights will become available for that page. If it is not visible yet, you did not meet the requirements yet – try to have more followers and likes, and it will get activated.

If it is available, it appears between the “Activity” and the “Settings” tab on top of your page.

Let’s do a walk through:

On the top ribbon, you see respectively “Overview”, “Likes”, “Reach”, “Visits”, “Posts” and “People”

Overview

The overview tab has a summary of your last week. It shows page likes, the reach of your posts and the engagement. It does also show you the rise or drop compared to the previous week. (previous week in grey, current week in color).

Scroll down a bit, and you see some statistics related to your 5 most recent Posts. You should look at the difference between Reach and Engagement.

If you scroll even more down, you will see some other summaries such as the possibility to monitor pages of your competitors. This will give you a hint on how the actions they are having perform. If you ad a page for monitoring, your competitor will get a message about this, but he can not identify who is monitoring, although your page could become a suggestion for him, so that way he/she could guess.
